Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Brian Horst answered the Lord's call to pastor South Middlesex Baptist Church in the summer of 2011. His desire is for South Middlesex Baptist Church to share the Light of the Lord Jesus Christ with Framingham and its surrounding area.
Pastor Horst grew up in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. He had the privilege of living in a Christian home and trusted Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. As a young person, he surrendered his life to the Lord, telling the Lord that he would do anything that the Lord wanted with his life. It was not until he was sixteen years old, however, that the Lord gave him the specific call to pastor. During a meeting at the Wilds Christian Camp, Pastor Horst surrendered to the call to preach. He immediately began practical training within his local church.
After high school, Pastor Horst began his formal ministry training at Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC. It was there that the Lord gave him his wife, Ruth, to serve along side him. Pastor Horst also studied at Tabernacle Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Virginia Beach, VA. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Bible and Pastoral Ministries with a minor in Biblical Counseling. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Ministry degree at West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA.
Pastor Horst has served the Lord in the ministry since 2002. Our pastor came to Massachusetts after pastoring two churches in Ohio.
Pastor and Ruth have four children: Jaelle, Katrina, Lindsay and Nathan.
