Statement of Faith
Note
This is only a brief synopsis of our statement of faith.
The Scriptures
We believe that each and every word of the Bible is inspired by God and that it is the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine and practice. We believe that the Bible is the word of God and that it is without error and incapable of being broken. The Bible is God's revelation of Himself to us. We only use and recommend the Authorized King James Version of the Bible for all of our public meetings as well as Sunday School
The Godhead
We believe that there is only one true and living God, existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
The Person and Work of Christ
We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to convict and convert the repentant sinner. We also believe in his ongoing ministry in the life of the believer to cleanse, control, and conquer our heart and life.
We believe the so-called "charismatic experience" is both in doctrinal and practical error and that it should neither be sought nor practiced. The Pentecostal movement came about as a response to dead orthodoxy and the need of men to worship God in spirit and in truth. Both dead orthodoxy and the charismatic confusion are equally dangerous. We want a living daily experience with our God that lines up with the truth of His Word.
The Way of Salvation
We believe in salvation to eternal life "by grace through faith", plus nothing and minus nothing. Repentance of sin and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross are two sides of the same coin. One is impossible without the other.
The Church
We believe in the independence of each local church. We are an autonomus body of baptized believers, brought together by God to keep the ordinances, enjoy fellowhip, and evangelize the lost.
Because our God is the Thrice Holy One we must take a separated stand regarding teaching that undermines the fundementals of the faith, including: Liberalism, Neo-orthodoxy, Neo-Evangelicalism, Eccumenicalism, Hyper-Calvinism, and the Charismatic Movement.
We only use godly, conservative music and hymns in our church. Taking the music of the night club and the world and mixing it with the words of scripture is an abomination unto God and should be repented of. Our first objective in not to draw a crowd or entertain people. Our objective is to please the Thrice Holy God in all that we do.
Biblical Separation
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and, that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God (II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1, 2, 14:13; I John 2:15-17; II John 9-11; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1).
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, visible, literal, pretribulational, and premillenial return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our Eternal State
We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the redeemed with Christ and the unendng conscious punishment of the lost in the lake of fire.
